Self-Extracting File Instructions: Once you have successfully received the file and saved it to your hard drive, follow these steps to extract or "unzip" your free designs: Locate the file on your computer. (Click Here if you cannot find the file) Double-click on the file icon. You will see a window such as this... The textbox labeled 'Unzip to folder:' indicates that the self-extracting program will create a folder called "dakota" which will be placed just off your C:\ drive. You can change the path in the 'Unzip to folder:' textbox to any valid location that you desire, as long as you know where that location is. Click the 'Unzip' button. This will create the folder on your C:\ drive and place in it all 3 design files, plus 1 text file called readme.txt. When complete (in a second or two), you will see this message... Click 'OK' and then 'CLOSE' on the original window. If you did not alter the download path, you will find the folder just off your C:\ drive... Double-click to open this folder and you will see your free design files and the 1 text file... Now you can copy or move these files to a floppy disk and transport them to your sewing machine. If you cannot find the downloaded file... Right-click on the 'My Computer' icon on your desktop. Click on 'Find...' from the menu. Type 'dakcoll*' in the 'Named:' textbox (without quotes). Click on the 'Find Now' button. The search should produce a result similar to this... You can continue with step #2 above by double-clicking on the file in the search results box. Return to Free Downloads page... Return to Technical Support page...
